For this assignment you can make a prediction or write about the prompts I have provided. Pick one CHOICE and one topic under that choice. REMEMBER – I am expecting a paragraph from you.
You must do this one:
At the pep rally some of the other students are pretty mean to Melinda. How would you react to that kind of treatment? AND Why does Heather begin to be nice to Melinda and then pull back? [Pages 26-29]
AND You must choose one of these:
“I am not going to think about it. It was ugly, but it’s over, and I’m not going to think about it.” (Speak Page 5) What and/or who do you think ‘it‘ is?

The book is split into Marking Periods, within those Marking Periods there are titles/heading that describe sections. Pick two or three and tell me why you think Melinda chose them. “Fizz Ed” on page 18, “Devils Destroy” on page 26, “Dinner Theater” on page 35 are all good choice to write about.
